PRIVACY POLICY

1. SCOPE

This Privacy Policy governs the collection, storage and use of personal data collected by Grifols, S.A. (hereinafter, "Grifols") via the website located at http://www.partnership.grifols.com (hereinafter, the "Site") which is intended only for healthcare professionals. It provides users of the Site with details about the personal data Grifols collects from them, how Grifols uses their personal data and how they can exercise rights to control personal information Grifols holds about them.

Grifols respects the right to privacy of Site users and will only process personal data in accordance with Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter, "LOPD"), Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December, approving the Regulations implementing LOPD and Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and E-Commerce.

The Site may offer links to other websites through different buttons, links, banners, etc., which are managed by third parties. Users are informed that this Privacy Policy applies only to the personal data that Grifols collects through this Site and Grifols cannot be responsible for personal data that third parties may collect, store and use through their websites. Users should always read the privacy policy of each website they visit carefully.

By accessing, browsing and using the Site, the user of the Site (hereinafter, the "User") accepts this Privacy Policy in its entirety.

This Privacy Policy does not regulate the collection, storage and use of personal data collected by Grifols through means other than this Site, which will be regulated by the corresponding privacy policies made available to individuals with said means.

The User is informed that the personal data collected through this Site is part of a data file owned by Grifols, S.A., a Spanish company with registered office at calle Jesús y María, 6, 08022 Barcelona (Spain).

3. PERSONAL DATA

When Users submit their personal data to contact Grifols, Grifols may collect at least the following information from Users:

  • first and last name,
  • country of practice, and
  • e-mail address

4. PROCESSING PURPOSES

Grifols may use the personal data listed above for the following purposes:

  • to respond Users' requests of information or suggestions;
  • to respond Users' questions at live events, talks and symposia held at scientific congresses.
  • to send by e-mail, if Users have accepted so and following their selected preferences, materials, content and other information (e.g. white papers, brochures, videos, case studies, etc.) , products, services, activities and other events related to Grifols' bioscience division.

Any other purposes shall be communicated to Users prior to the processing of personal data.

5. TRANSFER TO THIRD PARTIES

Grifols will not disclose or sell personal data to any third party unless the User has consented to this.

However, if a third party acquires all (or substantially all) of Grifols business and/or assets, Grifols may disclose the personal data of Users to that third party in connection with the acquisition, provided that they are given at least clear information about the identity of the third party, the purposes of the data processing and the data protection rights.

For the purposes mentioned in Section 4, Users consent that Grifols may share their personal data with its group companies located in the European Economic Area (EEA). Notwithstanding the foregoing, Users who exercise their professional practice in the United States of America consent that Grifols may also share their personal data with its group companies located in the United States of America. The countries where such companies are located can be checked at www.grifols.com (section 'Choose country').

 

Grifols will disclose Users' personal data without their consent if required to do so by applicable law.

6. SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

Whilst Grifols takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to maintain the level of security and confidentiality required to safeguard the personal data provided by Users against its alteration, loss, unauthorized access or processing, no transmission over the Internet can ever be guaranteed secure. Consequently, it cannot be guaranteed the security of any personal data that Users transfer over the Internet to Grifols.

7. RIGHTS OF USERS

Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition to the data processing under the terms set out in the current legislation, by sending a written communication to privacy@grifols.com (Ref.: Partnership) together with a copy of their ID document/passport and specifying the right they want to exercise. For any privacy-related questions, Users can also send a communication to the e-mail address indicated.

Users will be able modify their selected preferences or to opt out from the reception of materials, content and other information related to products, services, activities and other events related to Grifols' bioscience sector.

Grifols relies on the personal data provided by Users. Therefore, Users undertake to inform Grifols about any changes in their personal data. Users will not provide Grifols with personal data from third parties.

Grifols will keep Users' personal data so long as needed to comply with the foreseen processing purposes.

8. UPDATE

Grifols may modify and update the Privacy Policy at any time by posting the updated version to the Site and providing Users prior notice to the change becoming effective by means of a notice on Site's homepage or by email. Users must always check the content of the Privacy Policy in order to remain informed at all times of what information is collected through the Site, how this information is used and under what circumstances, if any, Grifols may disclose it.
